Peter Rowe Editor

Peter Rowe, the editor of IB News, has worked in media around the world for over 30 years, including the last 20 in Australia.

As a journalist and author, he has edited weekly and daily newspapers, worked in digital media, and in PR and media relations for numerous blue-chip organisations.

Residing in WA, Peter is keen to build a team of Indigenous journalists committed to reporting on Indigenous affairs and campaigning on key issues affecting First Nations people.

Anthony Mundine

Former world champion boxer and rugby league star Anthony Mundine joins IB News as a contributor.

Mundine held the WBA super-middleweight title twice between 2003 and 2008. He also held the IBO middleweight title from 2009 to 2010 and the WBA interim super-welterweight title from 2011 to 2012.

Anthony will discuss his love of sport and the social injustices still prevalent in Australian society.

Carol Martin

Carol is a proud Yamatji Naaguja and Noongar Woman, who enjoys sharing her Culture through her Art.

Carol was born in Subiaco Western Australia, the eldest daughter of Bernard and Rosemary Pilkington. Carol left home in 1974, arriving in Broome, and falling in love with the people, the community and finding a future for herself.

Carol has had a very interesting and full career, she graduated in 1993 as a Social Worker from Curtin University, she was preselected for the Seat of Kimberley in February 2000 and on the 10 February 2001, she was the “First Aboriginal Woman elected to any Australian Parliament”.

Michael Walters

Michael Walters, known as “Son-son” to his fans, is an AFL footballer who plays for the Fremantle Dockers.

Born and raised in WA, Michael began his sporting career with the Swan Districts club before being selected by Fremantle in the 2008 draft. He made his debut a year later and has played over 200 games for the club, kicking 356 goals.

In 2019, he was rewarded with his debut selection in the All-Australian team and later that year became a Fremantle life member.

Dorinda Cox

Dorinda Cox is an Australian politician who has been a Senator for Western Australia since 2021, representing the Greens.

A proud Yamatji and Noongar woman, she is the first Indigenous woman to represent Western Australia in the Senate.

Jeremy Wolf

Jeremy is a proud Tasmanian Palawa man and a graduate of the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Accounting and Business Law. Jeremy is an experienced business strategist with a background in professional services, digital agencies, startups, and established businesses.

Drawing from his Indigenous heritage and academic background, Jeremy brings a unique perspective to his work. He is passionate about promoting Indigenous representation in business and advocating for workplace diversity and inclusion, aiming to empower Indigenous entrepreneurs and businesses to thrive in today’s competitive market.
