Indigenous boxing legend Anthony ‘Choc’ Mundine will be joining IBnews.com.au as a regular opinion writer and sports columnist.

Choc, who is currently overseas on business, spoke to ibnews.com.au editor Peter Rowe over the weekend and expressed his excitement at the launch of the platform.

“I’m delighted to be involved in this project, I know the people behind it very well and I know it’s going to be special,” he said.

“A fantastic outlet for our own people where we can spread the truth.”

Mundine will be writing his first column – looking at the NRL and the AFL finals – in two weeks once he has returned to Australia.

He has strong opinions – from footy to boxing to making sure First Nations Peoples are heard – so we look forward to his comments as we building grow our audience.
