A Melbourne-based business has launched an online fundraiser to buy a pool for the family of the three Indigenous children allegedly cable tied by a tradie in Broome.

The children are alleged to have sneaked into the property to swim in the backyard pool, before the shocking ‘citizen’s arrest’ that followed.

A social media post by Dreamtime Aroha showed a purchase of a $699 pool from Big W plus some inflatable toys, with the total including delivery coming to $1474.

“All further donations going directly to the Jarjums (allegedly) held against their will by a ‘tradie’ in Broome,” the post stated.

Dreamtime Aroha is a “small proud female led Blak business in Meanjin”, also known as Brisbane.

Nearly $5000 has been raised according to the social media post.
