
Croc warning in North Queensland as waters rise

Communities in flood-hit north Queensland have been advised to watch out for crocodiles as floodwaters continue to rise.
One ABC has reported an emergency alert was issued for the Cardwell area, before being reduced, while residents north of Ingham have spotted crocodiles in flooded streets.
On nearby Palm Island power has been restored as residents said it has been the heaviest rain seen on the island for generations.
Residents in the Burdekin and Cassowary Coast council areas are now eligible for personal hardship assistance grants, which include grants of $180 per person and up to $900 for a family of five.
In Cairns shoppers stripped some supermarket shelves as the storm threatens supplies and the city council has urged people to calm down.
