Ernie to host Yarning, singing event in Mandurah

March 15, 2025

The Indigenous Arts Foundation is showcasing some of WA’s best Indigenous talent in Mandurah on November 11.

Australian living legend Ernie Dingo will host the 90-minute concert, Yarning Singing, a Showcase of Indigenous Talent, with performances by Indigenous artists including Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse, Phil Walleystack and more.

Tickets for the workshops and the show at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre are now available online from the venue.

The event is supported by the WA State Government’s Regional Performing Arts Grants Program.

Yarning Singing returned last month with a series of workshops and a concert hosted by Ernie Dingo in Margaret River.

The concert at Margaret River Heart opened with duo Emily Gelineau and Danilo da Paz performing vibrant Indigenous Brazilian music, highlighting the cultural and musical similarities between the two countries.

Considered “rising stars” in the music industry, the talented Pabai family of Tahlia, Lauren and Bala Robbie took to the stage to perform a collection of Torres Strait Islander songs, as well as some of their favourite contemporary songs, and original music.
