Hoops hero Patty shoots for business growth

NBA champion Patty Mills and his wife Alyssa want to propel Indigenous economic progress by building new global trade opportunities for communities throughout Australia.

Mills, a proud Indigenous Olympian, born and raised in Canberra, currently plays basketball for the Utah Jazz in the USA.

And this latest partnership with the Akana Group aims to revolutionise equipment solutions, supply chain management, and logistics within Australia and beyond.

“It’s a mission close to my family’s heart,” Mills said.

“We are aiming to create a generational impact through economic empowerment.

“Our vision is to provide equitable access to opportunities, unifying groups across Australia and redefining international trade.

“We aspire to be a capability integrator, connecting businesses with global opportunities, networks, and resources.”

Chad Johnson, CEO of The Akana Group said partnering with Patty and his family was a great initiative.
