WA celebrated NAIDOC Week with a glittering ball at the Crown Towers in Perth on Saturday evening with singer Jessica Mauboy wowing the audience with a tremendous 45-minute set.
500 attendees, including Minister for Indigenous Affairs, Dr Tony Butti, enjoyed an evening of fine dining and entertainment to celebrate the 2024 theme: Black. Loud and Proud.
Mauboy told the audience she loved being in Perth, and among her ‘mob’ as she finished an energetic performance with her hit from the 2012 hit movie The Sapphires, Land of a Thousand Dances.
Performances from the Bibbulmun Koorda’s Dance Group, Natasha Blurton and Pipeline rounded out a great evening.
