Knights seek Indigenous design support

The NRL’s Newcastle Knights are looking for Aboriginal artists to provide artwork for consideration for their 2026 Indigenous Round jersey.

“These projects provide an opportunity for the Newcastle Knights to strengthen our commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and celebrate the deep connection between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and rugby league,” the Knights said in a post on their website.

The design featured on the jersey should showcase the cultural insights of the artist, reflecting the rich traditions, stories, and connection between culture, community, and the Newcastle Knights.

We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from these regions to apply and share their artistic vision,” the Knights said.
