WA’s north west will host another amazing indigenous event when the Mowanjum Festival kicks off in Derby today.

Tne event, held at the Mowanjum Art and Culture Centre, 10km from Derby, will showcase the culture of the Ngarinyin, Woddordda and Wunambal peoples with a performance and revival of Junba, traditional song and dance.

A series of workshops and an open art gallery are the highlights of the day, which culminates with a Corroboree and Junba performances from 6pm.
