Indigenous businessman Warren Mundine wants to return to politics and has put his hand up to stand for the Sydney seat of Bradfield.

Mundine, a strong anti-voice proponent, is hoping to replace current MP Paul Fletcher, who announced his retirement.

The Sydney north shore seat has be the subject of a Teal assault in recent years and currently has a Liberal margin of just 2.5 per cent.

“I’m a person who has a tremendous track record in delivering things,” Mr Mundine told Sky News.

“In my business life and in my working life, I’ve got more than 5000 jobs for Aboriginal people. I’ve run programs where we’ve got doctors and lawyers and professors and everything for Aboriginal people.

“I’ve run businesses that were successful… and I know how government operates.”

If selected he would be up against Teal independent Nicolette Boele.
