Our Medicine doco to highlight healing knowledge

A powerful new documentary series is set to shine a light on ancient First Nations healing knowledge. Our Medicine, produced by Karla Hart and Periscope Pictures, offers a rare and intimate glimpse into traditional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander healing practices across Western Australia.

Narrated by acclaimed actor and director Leah Purcell, the six-part series follows Indigenous health workers as they blend cultural wisdom with modern medicine to support community wellbeing.

Premiering in 2025 on NITV, SBS and SBS On Demand, Our Medicine is a proud celebration of cultural resilience, storytelling, and the strength of Country-led care.
