Pearce ruled out of All Stars game

Fremantle Dickers captain Alex Pearce has been ruled out of Saturday’s Indigenous All-Stars clash in Perth with an ankle injury.

Pearce, 29, had been selected for the All-Stars squad that features 31 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players from 16 clubs.

He was sent for scans after he injured his left ankle during an intraclub match on Friday.

The club said on Monday the defender was unavailable for Saturday’s match.

Fremantle veteran Michael Walters has been named captain of the Indigenous All-Stars team to face his own Dockers teammates in the pre-season clash.

Dockers recruit Shai Bolton has also been named in the squad.

Tickets for the game are still on sale now and prices start at $10 for a junior under 15, and $35 for an adult, with family tickets (two adults and two juniors) only $70, allowing juniors to attend for free.
