Powerful Christmas present for WA residents

If you live in Western Australia there’s a special Christmas present due this month, courtesy of the State government.

WA households will receive a $350 credit on their power bills from this weekend, on Synergy and Horizon accounts.

“Delivering cost-of-living relief to WA families is our top priority,” Premier Roger Cook said.

“In partnership with the Albanese Labor Government, we’re making sure every WA household receives another $350 off their power bill this Christmas.”

Households with a direct billing account with Synergy or Horizon Power will automatically have the credit applied to their next bill after this Saturday.

For households that do not have an account with Synergy or Horizon Power, applications for assistance are open through Revenue WA, https://www.wa.gov.au/government/publications/household-electricity-credit, closing on 31 January 31 next year.

Households requiring additional support can access additional power bill relief through the Energy Assistance Payment and the Dependent Child Rebate.
