A Sydney pub has called jokes by stand up comedian Biddy O’loughlin racist and called for other venues in the city to blacklist her.

O’Loughlin, 36, posted a video on Instagram where she joked about an Aboriginal woman she met at a pub in Alice Springs and made fun of traditional place names.

Indigenous musician Isaac Compton called out O’Loughlin for reinforcing racist stereotypes.

“Her jokes aren’t new, same s**t we’ve heard before. Just a new f**kwit saying them,” he wrote.

And the Lord Gladstone called the comedian a “racist POS” on Instagram before calling for a ban.

Indigenous musician Isaac Compton called out O’Loughlin for reinforcing racist stereotypes.

O’Loughlin has since claimed that Australia risks “losing our ability to joke about sensitive topics” after the social media reaction.

“I think we are losing our ability to joke about sensitive topics because of cancel culture,” she told Sky News.

“And when comedians aren’t allowed to make these jokes, we’re heading in the wrong direction.”

The comedian has previously faced boycotts over her routines.

Jones about transgender people in September prompted one venue in Adelaide to cancel her.
