ARIA award winner Jessica Mauboy will headline the NAIDOC Ball in Perth on July 13 at Crown Perth.
Jessica is a proud Kuku Yalanji woman and one of Australia’s most successful female artists, recording six top-ten albums and 16 top-ten singles through a career that has spanned almost 20 years.
She is a three-time National Indigenous Music Awards Artist of the Year, actress and song writer and has collaborated with international artists such as Flo Rida, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Jay Sean, Pitbull and Jason Derulo. She has also toured with Beyoncé and Chris Brown.
Jessica was a guest performer at the second semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014. She competed for Australia at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest and reached 20th place. From 2021 to 2023, she was featured as a coach on The Voice Australia.
The City of Perth is to present an art exhibition celebrating this year’s powerful theme ‘Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud’.
Running from July 1 to August 2 in the Council House Foyer, the exhibition will showcase profound works from locally and nationally renowned Aboriginal artists, recognising the enduring strength and vibrant cultures of our First Nations people.
